Jesse Marsch spoke to the media on Tuesday ahead of Leeds United’s next outing.

Leeds will face off with Chelsea on Wednesday evening at Elland Road. Ahead of the tie, Marsch would provide a team news update on his side.

And, it was mixed news for the Whites, with Liam Cooper potentially back available for the tie, whilst Patrick Bamford will not be in team training until the end of the week, ruling him out of the Chelsea game: “I believe, now he trained yesterday, Liam [Cooper] will be available for tomorrow. Patrick [Bamford] is doing individual work, hopefully in team training by end of the week.”

Leeds will also be without Luke Ayling, who was shown a straight red vs Arsenal last time out.

Leeds vs Chelsea

Leeds head into the Chelsea game knowing they need at least a point to move out of the relegation zone.

The Peacocks slipped to 18th over the weekend and are now behind 17th-place Burnley thanks to their much worse goal difference.

Leeds currently have a -35 goal difference, compared to -17 of Burnley.

Despite this, some Leeds fans will still likely fancy their side’s chances of getting one over on Chelsea.

The Blues’ have completely collapsed over the last several weeks and Thomas Tuchel is expected to rotate heavily for the game due to the FA Cup final this weekend.
