Arsenal matched an unwanted feat in their latest Premier League outing vs Burnley on Sunday.

The Gunners headed into the meeting with Burnley looking to bounce back from their League Cup exit at the hands of Liverpool earlier in the week.

Mikel Arteta, though, was without the services of a number of key players on the day such as Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.

Despite this, the Gunners faithful still likely expected their side to pick up a win on the day as Burnley were sat 20th in the league before kick off with just one win to their name.

When all was said and done, however, Arsenal were unable to break Burnley down, being forced to settle for a pretty embarrassing 0-0 draw against Sean Dyche’s side.

Following the game, statisticians Opta have revealed that Arsenal have now failed to score in four consecutive matches in all competitions for the first time since December of 2005:

Arsenal need a striker

Of course, Arsenal’s dip in form does likely have something to do with them being without Partey and Xhaka for a few games recently.

But the obvious issue is also that Arsenal really need a new striker on their books to finish the chances they are getting.

The poor showings of their forwards vs Burnley even led to many Arsenal fans urging their club to get a deal for Dusan Vlahovic done.
