Ahead of an August 31 deadline imposed by France, Britain and Germany, to trigger a « snapback » sanctions mechanism, Iran on Friday agreed to resume nuclear talks with the « E3 » European countries next week. The Israel-Iran war in June has added pressure on the European powers to reach a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear issue.
