Brazil’s far-right former president Jair Bolsonaro was recovering in intensive care on Monday after he underwent a successful intestinal surgery in Brasilia on Sunday. The marathon 12-hour operation was carried out after Bolsonaro was hospitalised for « unbearable » pain linked to a 2018 stabbing attack.
