President Vladimir Putin said Russia is tasked « with building a new world » on Thursday and reiterated his position that Russia did not start the war in Ukraine but launched what it calls a “special military operation” to try to stop it. Putin’s words came after a Russian attack killed more than 50 people, including a six-year-old boy, in a village in the Kharkiv region of northeastern Ukraine, officials said.
