An insight into why Arsenal are keen on Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez has been provided on Tuesday.

Argentine Martinez is currently playing at Ajax, where he has long showcased both his technical prowess with the ball and ability in the tackle – skills required by most modern defenders.

Martinez is also left-footed and is more than capable of playing as a left-back if required.

Now, Caught Offside have shed some light on why Arsenal are so keen to land Martinez, reporting that there are major concerns about Kieran Tierney’s injury record, leading the club to believe they need another player in to cover.
