The away support in attendance at Manchester United’s meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion this evening were heard taking aim at the club’s stars courtesy of a ruthless, but altogether fitting chant.

Ralf Rangnick’s troops are of course currently locked in action on England’s south coast.

Fresh off a morale-boosting 3-0 downing of Brentford last time out, the Red Devils made the trip to Brighton, no doubt hopeful of making it two wins on the bounce to see out what has proven a difficult campaign in at least some semblance of style.

To say that such efforts have since not gone according to plan, though, would be something of an understatement.

A frankly remarkable matchup to date currently sees Saturday’s visitors trailing Brighton by 4 (YES, FOUR) goals to nil.

Moises Caicedo set Graham Potter’s hosts on their way courtesy of a fine opener inside the first fifteen minutes at the Amex, before Marc Cucurella doubled the advantage early in the 2nd-half.

And, from here, the floodgates soon opened, as Pascal Gross’ superb footwork and ensuing finish was followed on the hour mark by Leandro Trossard making it four.

‘Not fit’

Cue jubilant celebrations amongst the home support in attendance at Saturday evening’s clash.

In the away end, though, things have unsurprisingly begun to take something of a sour turn…

Amid widespread boos and jeers owing to another frankly embarrassing performance on the part of one of world football’s biggest clubs, the Manchester United faithful took aim at the club’s stars courtesy of an audible chant of:

“You’re not fit to wear the shirt”
