The Inter Milan support in attendance at the club’s meeting with Juventus this evening made use of the opportunity to poke fun at their long-time rivals.
The latest edition of the famed Derby d’Italia, of course, is currently being played out at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
The fixture pits the aforementioned Juve, so long the dominant force in Serie A, against current Scudetto holders Inter, who last season broke the Bianconeri’s stranglehold over the Italian top-flight.
In turn, as alluded to above, the away contingent of fans to have made their way to the clash were sure to provide a reminder to their hosts of their remaining champion status.
This came in the form of a banner unveiled in the Nerazzurri end of the ground, featuring an Oscars-themed insult, as showcased below:

Calhanoglu on target amid controversy
Turning attentions towards the exchanges on the pitch thus far in Turin, it is Inter who also boast the advantage when it comes to the scoreline at half-time in the latest Derby d’Italia showdown.
This comes after a frankly shambolic sequence of events saw the Nerazzurri awarded a spot-kick, which Hakan Calhanoglu subsequently stepped up to take responsibility of.
Wojciech Szczęsny, however, saved the Turk’s ensuing effort, before a free-kick went the way of the hosts for an ensuing foul.
But, just when it appeared as though Juve had escaped, word reached Massiliano Irrati that the penalty should be retaken, owing to encroachment on the part of the hosts.
Calhanoglu, in turn, dusted himself down, before this time dispatching from 12 yards:
Inter Milan get a lifeline with an awarded penalty, which Szczesny saves.
But the penalty is retaken after an infraction.
Then Calhanoglu converts his second attempt.
Drama in Turin.

All of this came after Inter Milan were too lucky not to be reduced to 10 men earlier in the half, when Lautaro Martinez escaped a second yellow card for a late challenge on Giorgio Chiellini.
