Manchester United are set to face off with Roy Hodgson’s Watford on Saturday afternoon and Jadon Sancho has been benched despite his superb form of late.

Ahead of the game, the Red Devils would release their matchday squad an hour before kick-off.

Ralf Rangnick had made a number of changes for the clash which saw all of Jadon Sancho, Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford drop out of the XI:


However, none of the changes look to have been enforced. When speaking to the media pre-match, Rangnick pointed to a need to rest players as the major driving point behind the changes, as well getting what Manchester United need tactically vs Watford:

Manchester United vs Watford

Manchester will face Watford on Saturday at 3 pm UK time.

Manchester United head into the latest gameweek sat 4th in the Premier League, but are well aware that Arsenal can catch them if they win their games in hand.

The Red Devils also have some fierce competition from Tottenham, who bounced back from their loss to Burnley in midweek by beating Leeds United 4-0 in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Watford, meanwhile, are down in 19th place with three sides above them having played at least one fewer game – a grim outlook for the Hornets.
