An insight into the future of Tottenham and England star Harry Kane has been provided on Tuesday.

For those with short memories, the Premier League summer transfer window of 2021, for large periods, centered around Harry Kane.

The forward was heavily linked with Manchester City:

There were also rumours that the striker had refused to turn up to training, claims denied by Kane himself.

But in the end, Kane would stay put for the time being and, after a very poor start to 2021/22, looks to be finally finding some form under Antonio Conte.

But what does the future hold for Kane? Well, Fabrizio Romano reports on Tuesday that Harry Kane is understood to be ‘more than happy’ with Conte and has completely different feelings than last June.

Despite this,  it is added that no final decision has been made on Kane’s future yet and a new Spurs contract won’t be discussed now.

Finally, and seemingly most importantly, Romano adds that Tottenham securing a Champions League spot is a key step for Kane’s future:

Will Tottenham finish in the top-four?

Tottenham are currently 7th in the Premier League table, which is not high enough for a Champions League place.

However, the Lilywhites have at least one game in hand on the three teams above them.

And if they win all those games, Spurs would be 4th in the division right now, suggesting a top-four finish for the north Londoners is still very much on the cards.
