The young Gunners continued their recent dominance over Chelsea at U23 level with their third win on the spin against the Blues while scoring 13-goals in the process and only surrendering three at the other end.

But tonight seemed just that much more special given two of the goals that were on offer as Omari Hutchinson and Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand both grabbed stunning solo efforts that put their gifts fully on display once again.

The bright young pair are some of the most talked-about players in the club’s Hale End youth setup with both on the fast-track for big things over the next few seasons in north London. But for the time being, Arsenal fans can all sit back, watch, and enjoy as the future looks quite good indeed.
Arsenal academy setup continues to purr
Much of the talk regarding youth development in England has focused around Chelsea’s vaunted Cobham Academy pipeline in recent seasons, and for good reason.
But Arsenal has quietly been countering their capital rivals with their own efforts at Hale End, especially after former fan-favorite center-back Per Mertesacker was given the keys to the production shop.

There have already been immediate results under the guidance of the former German international as well, with Charlie Patino making some measure of impact this season in the first-team across the handful of appearances he has been able to muster.
With others the likes of Omar Rekik, Mika Biereth, and Catalin Cirjan waiting in the wings, it’s only a matter of time before the Arsenal academy pipeline gains similar attention to its more vaunted counterpart.
