A trio of Premier League clubs are set to be put on alert as Ligue 1 outfit LOSC Lille could be stripped of three of their most influential players come the summer as Jonathan David, Renato Sanches, and Sven Botman have all signaled their intention to depart the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in the coming summer window.

Vibes Foot made mention of the story earlier today on Twitter, stating that all three players confirmed their intention of going to greener pastures after the conclusion of the 2021-22 campaign, in what would be a massive blow that would see the Hauts-de-France outfit with the task of replacing their most-prized possession in each ‘line’ of the XI under manager Jocelyn Gourvennec.

Lille have fallen by the wayside somewhat this season after being crowned champions last term under Christophe Galtier, and though they are only three points outside of the top-four at the time of writing, they currently sit eleventh in the table. Should the club fail to secure Europe next season, it cannot be considered a surprise that the trio of key assets would look to move on to bigger fish, and Arsenal, Newcastle, and Tottenham could all be set to benefit.

David & Botman linked to north London rivals

The striker saga that continues to unfold at Arsenal has been an entertaining one (unless you are an Arsenal supporter like myself), and failure to secure either Dušan Vlahović or Alexander Isak in the summer could put the Gunners in line to make a serious play for Jonathan David in the summer after being previously linked with interest in the Canadian international.

Arsenal was considering a late move for the former KRC Genk standout but Lille have resigned themselves to losing him in the summer, which aligns with the club’s ongoing building project under Mikel Arteta and need to recruit a new headline center-forward after all three of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexander Lacazette, and Eddie Nketiah will have left the club by then.

Fellow Les Douge clubmate Sven Botman has long been linked with interest in England from PIF-backed Newcastle, but Tottenham has now emerged as a possible destination according to The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath as Spurs are viewing Botman as one of a number of potential center-backs they could turn to in the summer.

As for Renato Sanches, it is plausible to suggest that both Arsenal and Newcastle could well target the Portuguese international in the summer as well. Arsenal has been linked with central reinforcements for the bulk of the season as recently as January when many expected the club to move for Bruno Guimarães before he sealed a move to St. James’ Park, which could end up as a destination for Sanches if the club ends up securing a Premier League place next season.
