One Liverpool star has been singled out for praise following his showing vs Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace and Liverpool played out a Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
Liverpool headed into the game no doubt buoyed by the fact they have now booked their spot in the League Cup final.
The Reds, though, are still no doubt mainly focused on once again winning the Premier League under Klopp.
Liverpool were well aware that a win on Sunday would move them to within nine points of Manchester City with another game in hand on Pep Guardiola’s side still to be played.
Should Liverpool have won on Sunday, it would have added some much-needed lift to a title race that had become very one-sided in recent weeks.
And the away outfit got off to a superb start when Andy Robertson whipped in a corner, which Virgil van Dijk powered home after less than eight minutes.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would then double the Reds’ lead with just over half an hour played.
Alisson praised after starring for Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
Despite the two-goal lead, though, Liverpool did not have the most comfortable of games and would eventually concede after 54 minutes when Odsonne Edouard tapped into an open net.
For whatever reason, the away side looked very shaky at the back, lacking concertation in key moments.
However, Liverpool had been able to stay in the game before eventually scoring a third after a dubious penalty decision went their way, thanks to a number of big saves from Alisson.
And despite not keeping a clean sheet, the Brazilian did play a huge part in Liverpool coming away with a victory.
