A Russian TV journalist who staged an on-air protest against the war in Ukraine has been sentenced, in absentia, to more than eight years in prison by a court in Moscow. Marina Ovsyannikova, who was convicted of spreading disinformation about the Russian army, had last year escaped house arrest and fled Russia.
