An altogether considerable development in the Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid transfer saga has been confirmed late on Monday.

Attacking sensation Mbappe, of course, has long been expected to call time on his stint with Paris Saint-Germain this summer, to link up with La Liga champions Real as part of a big-money free agent agreement.

Such a move would see the Frenchman join forces with fellow countryman Karim Benzema, and Blancos wing wizard Vinicius Junior, to form potentially the most lethal front-three in world football.

It will therefore no doubt come as music to the ears of the Real faithful to hear that, this evening, their side have taken a monumental step towards clinching Mbappe’s signature.

As per a report from the reliable David Ornstein of The Athletic, the 23-year-old has come to an agreement on the personal terms of a contract in the Spanish capital.

It is reiterated that, as of yet, Mbappe has not signed for Carlo Ancelotti’s Blancos, with PSG remaining desperate to find a last-minute agreement with their long-time attacking star.

This evening’s developments, though, would certainly appear to point towards the latest Galactico signing inching ever-closer to the Bernabeu.

‘Decision is made’

Coincidentally, word of Mbappe’s alleged agreement with Real Madrid comes fresh on the back of the Frenchman providing a fresh insight into his future just last night.

Speaking to the media after being named the Ligue 1 Player of the Season for the 3rd successive year, the former Monaco standout confirmed his intention to announce exactly where he will be plying his trade beyond the summer by the beginning of June:

‘I will officially announce my decision on the future before I join the France national team in June,’ Mbappe began. ‘It’s a matter of days then it will be official.’

‘It will be known very soon, it’s almost done. My decision is made, yes, almost.’
