The stat-line pieced together by Bruno Guimaraes across a late cameo in Brazil’s meeting with Chile has begun to turn heads online.
The Selecao, of course, were back in action late on Thursday night.
Having long booked their spot at the Qatar showpiece, Tite’s men welcomed the aforementioned Chile to the Maracana, for the penultimate fixture of the country’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
The evening’s hosts showed little mercy, though, running riot en route to an eventual 4-0 triumph, courtesy of goals from all of Neymar, Vinicius Jr, Philippe Coutinho and Richarlison:

The aforementioned Guimaraes, for his part, was forced to make do with a spot on the bench, before being introduced for the game’s final eight minutes.
But what an eight minutes it proved…
As showcased below, the midfield conductor conjured up quite the stat-line, including 11 passes, a chance created, two ground duels won, and even an assist:

Magpies standout
Guimaraes’ latest starring display on the international stage of course comes with the former Lyon standout having begun to establish himself as a key contributor at club level once more, too.
After being eased into English football by Eddie Howe on the back of his winter arrival at Newcastle, Guimaraes has since been afforded starts in all of the Magpies’ last three Premier League outings.
The first of these, against Southampton early in March, even saw the Brazilian bag his maiden goal for the club, and in some style:
