New Kids On The Block Drop Long-Awaited Studio Album ‘Still Kids’: Stream It Now

They’re all grown up, but New Kids on the Block are still kids.

The iconic Boston boyband returns with Still Kids, their first studio album in more than a decade and first through BMG.

Spanning 14 tracks, the LP was led by the mid-tempo single “Kids,” which was co-written and co-produced by David Stewart (BTS, Jack Harlow) and Luke Batt (Katie Melua) and is “full of pop anthems, dance tracks, love songs and grooves that will become fast favorites for the Blockheads,” reads an earlier statement.

Formed in 1984, NKOTB features brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood.

NKOTB racked up the hits through the late 1980s and early 1990s, with career album sales topping 80 million, according to BMG. The pop act landed 13 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, including nine top 10 appearances and a hattrick of No. 1s: 1989’s “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever),” 1989’s “Hangin’ Tough” and 1990’s “Step By Step.”

Still Kids is the followup to reunion album 2013’s 10, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, one of the group’s six top 10 appearances on the tally, a list that includes two leaders, 1988 sophomore effort Hangin’ Tough and 1990’s Step By Step.

The quintet got Blockheads in a tizzy last year with the 15th anniversary of their reunion album, The Block, by way of a special edition The Block Revisited, including remixes and guest collaborations.

As we now know, that was just a teaser for a full reactivation across touring and recordings, orchestrated through a new label deal.

“We promise 2024 is going to be a big year for NKOTB and our blockheads,” the pop outfit announced in February, following their signing to BMG. “New label, big tour, we are just getting started.”

That trek, NKOTB’s Magic Summer 2024 tour, gets underway next month, with special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

Saweetie Drops ‘NANi’ Single: Stream It Now

Saweetie got us wondering how she walk through, swingin’ that body on her new single “NANi,” which she released on Friday.

“Ooh, got that nani, nani, nani/ How she walk through, swingin’ that body/ Yellin’, ’Who gon’ stop me?’/ You ain’t got the time to clock me,” she sings. “Ooh, got that nani, nani, nani/ Big, bag, I’ma fill it up with money/ Yellin’, ‘Who gon’ stop me?’/ You ain’t got the time to clock me.”

“We gon’ fkkk up the Summer,” she wrote on Instagram earlier this week while revealing the single’s cover art. Last weekend at the 2024 Gold Gala — where Saweetie received the first-ever Billboard Gold Music Honor during the event dedicated to recognizing the 100 most impactful Asian Pacific changemakers in culture and society over the past year — she told Billboard on the red carpet, “‘NANi’ is that girl. ‘NANi’ is main character energy.”

When Billboard caught up with her earlier this year at Women in Music — where she presented Young Miko with the AMEX Impact Award — and asked what’s coming up for Saweetie in 2024, she responded, “Hopefully the album. I recorded over 300 songs. I have a lot of music, so we’ll get to it.”

“NANi” is her second solo single of 2024, after “Richtivities” from February, which was included in a six-song project titled PRETTY HU$TLER MIX featuring other previously released tracks: “Pretty Bitch Freestyle,” “BO$$ Chick,” “Pretty & Rich,” “Get It Girl” and her 2017 breakout debut single “ICY GIRL,” which reached No. 16 on Rhythmic Airplay. This year, she’s released collaborations with Indian singer-songwriter Diljit Dosanjh (“Khutti”), P-Lo (“Do It For The Bay”) and IVE (“All Night”).

All the 2024 ACM Awards Performances Ranked

The 59th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, held Thursday night (May 16) and streamed live on Amazon’s Prime Video, handed out awards to many artists whose music has had an undeniable impact over the past year, but they also deftly crammed more than a dozen performances into the space of two hours — including breaks in the streaming broadcast. Still, the evening — produced by Dick Clark Productions — felt tightly run, but never rushed. And of course, one of country music’s most professional, entertaining artists, Country Music Hall of Famer Reba McEntire, was leading the festivities.

Related

In that two-hour span, the ACMs performances highlighted a range of performers, featured showcase after showcase of new music, and included a smattering of high-profile pop performers as well.

Dua Lipa made a surprise appearance, joining Chris Stapleton. Post Malone turned in one of the most solidly traditional country songs of the night. Nate Smith’s performance got an added edge thanks to rocker Avril Lavigne, while Kelsea Ballerini teamed with Noah Kahan to mesh their songs “Mountain With a View” and “Stick Season.”

Meanwhile, artists including Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson and McEntire all turned in performances of fresh material, while Kane Brown opted to honor the late Ray Charles by tackling one of the icon’s classics.

While every performance was solid during the evening, some stood out more than others. Here, we countdown to the top performance of the evening during the ACM Awards.

Billie Eilish’s ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’: All 10 Songs Ranked

At just 22 years old, it’s hard to believe that Billie Eilish is already a veteran pop star who’s three albums and seven years deep into her career — but here we are. Hit Me Hard and Soft, her third and most skillful studio LP yet, arrived promptly at midnight Friday (May 17), bringing with it 10 new tracks about life under the spotlight, complicated friendships-turned-romances and Eilish embracing her sexuality.

From the emotional accountability on “Wildflower” to the self-scrutinizing “Skinny,” Eilish’s latest set finds her fully in possession of the narrative maturity she was grasping at on her 2021 sophomore effort Happier Than Ever, which spent three weeks atop the Billboard 200. But with gothic allusions to death and criminal activity on songs like “Birds of a Feather” and “The Diner,” and shades of blue adding darker dimension to even the happiest moments on the album, the project also makes good on the star’s promise that Hit Me Hard and Soft would mark a return to the charms of her No. 1 hit debut record When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

“This whole process has felt like I’m coming back to the girl that I was,” she told Rolling Stone in April of making the album with her brother and producer, Finneas, whose best work to date is displayed on HMHAS. “I’ve been grieving her. I’ve been looking for her in everything, and it’s almost like she got drowned by the world and the media. I don’t remember when she went away.”

Keep reading to see how Billboard ranks the songs on Eilish’s new LP Hit Me Hard and Soft, from worst to best, below.

Billie Eilish’s ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ Leaves a Mark: Stream It Now

Billie Eilish‘s new album Hit Me Hard and Soft has officially made contact, arriving on streaming services promptly at midnight Friday (May 17).

Produced as usual by the pop star’s brother and longtime collaborator, Finneas, the 10-track set marks Eilish’s third studio LP, following 2019’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and 2021’s Happier Than Ever, both of which spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. No singles preceded the project, with the 22-year-old singer telling fans from the moment she announced it, “i wanna give it to you all at once.”

That meant that fans were given the full project all at once on Friday — or, as early as two days before it officially dropped, in the case of those who were lucky enough to attend one of Eilish’s listening parties in New York City and Los Angeles. With songs spanning the lovey-dovey early stages of a relationship to the brutal aftermath of a breakup, embracing sexuality and self-confidence and navigating life under the spotlight, Hit Me Hard and Soft is undoubtedly the young star’s most varied, mature album yet. Fans of her debut era, however, will especially love the new album, with Eilish telling Rolling Stone in April that she sees it as a return to the enigmatic, blue-haired teenager she used to be.

“This whole process has felt like I’m coming back to the girl that I was,” she told the publication. “I’ve been grieving her. I’ve been looking for her in everything, and it’s almost like she got drowned by the world and the media. I don’t remember when she went away.”

Zayn Unveils ‘Room Under the Stairs’ Album: Stream It Now

Zayn is back with his long-awaited new album, Room Under the Stairs.

The 15-track album, which arrived on Friday (May 17), features lead single “What I Am,” as well as additional tracks including “Alienated,” “My Woman,” Stardust,” “Something in the Water,” “Fuchsia Sea” and more. Room Under the Stairs marks Zayn’s first full-length solo project since 2021’s Nobody Is Listening. After leaving One Direction in 2015, the singer launched his solo music career with 2016’s Mind of Mine and followed it up with 2018’s Icarus Falls

The star dipped his toes into the country world for the new album, telling Nylon earlier this month that he likes the depth of the genre’s music. “People are in search of a little bit more depth from the lyrics. In the Top 40 charts, a lot of mainstream music feels a bit wishy-washy. The songs are f—ing fire. You know what I mean? They’re catchy. They’re playing on the radio and they do their job, but people are looking for a little bit more,” he shared.

It’s gearing up to be an exciting year for Zayn, who is pulling triple-duty in the upcoming animated feature 10 Lives, for which he will write new music and perform a duet with Bridgerton star Simone Ashley. Variety reported that Zayn and Ashley will both star in the film, in which the singer will play “tough-guy twins Cameron and Kirk,” with Ashley voicing a student named Rose.

Snubs and Surprises at the 2024 ACM Awards

Many of the awards at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards, which were presented on Thursday (May 16) at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, went as expected. Lainey Wilson’s second consecutive win as female artist of the year was a foregone conclusion. Old Dominion’s seventh consecutive win as group of the year was also no surprise.

Related

There was a bit of suspense in the duo of the year category. The award has toggled between Dan + Shay and Brothers Osborne for eight years. Dan + Shay, whose visibility was boosted this year by being coaches on The Voice, won. (These two duos are tied up at four wins each.)

The fact that Reba McEntire was a capable host was also no surprise. This was her 17th time hosting or co-hosting the show, so she knows what she’s doing. (She announced at the end of the ceremony that she would be back next year to host the 60th annual ACM Awards.)

That doesn’t mean there were no snubs or surprises at this year’s ACM Awards, which was produced by Dick Clark Productions.

2024 ACM Awards: Best Photos From the Show

Country music’s biggest stars came out for the genre’s “party of the year” — aka, the Academy of Country Music Awards — on Thursday, May 16. The annual event, which was held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, featured not only big wins, but emotional ones, as well as star-studded performances that also included collabs both previously announced and surprise duets.

One of the biggest moments of the night came when Chris Stapleton took the stage to perform his Higher track “Think I’m in Love With You,” when none other than Dua Lipa joined him for a duet. (Sources tell Billboard that their collaboration is set to drop Friday, May 17.) The other pairings — which had been expected — included husband-and-wife duo Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne with Nate Smith, and Kelsea Ballerini alongside Noah Kahan.

Speaking of performances, Post Malone, who is about to embark on his own country journey, debuted a new, unreleased song presumably from his upcoming country album. He finished his set with his new song “I Had Some Help,” which features Morgan Wallen, though the “Last Night” singer did not join in for the performance.

There were some emotional moments as well, including when Lainey Wilson, one of the night’s big winners, accepted the trophy for female artist of the year. During her speech, she shouted out not only her fellow nominees in the category, but also the women in country who helped her get to where she is now, as well as Wynonna Judd for “[giving] me devotionals every week.”

First-time nominee Jelly Roll was victorious alongside Wilson in the music event of the year category, winning for their collab “Save Me.” “This song saved me,” he told the crowd as he teared up. “I was in a dark place. I thought I would die and go to jail, and I’m standing here today an ACM Awards winner.”

The show was hosted by Reba McEntire and produced by Dick Clark Productions. (DCP is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a Penske Media Corporation subsidiary and joint venture between PMC and Eldridge. PMC is the parent company of Billboard.

Kelsea Ballerini & Noah Kahan Deliver Sweet ‘Stick Season’ & ‘Mountain With a View’ Mash-Up at 2024 ACM Awards

Leave it to Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan to nail the first crossover performance of the night! At Thursday night’s Dick Clark Productions-backed ACM Awards (May 16), the country superstar teamed up with the chart-topping alt-rocker for a cinematic mash-up of their hits “Mountain With a View” and “Stick Season,” respectively.

Related

Ballerini began her performance in a lacy gold slip dress, lounging retrospectively on a blue couch, effectively recreating the track’s music video. “Mountain With a View” — a somber, cathartic ballad — is the opening track to Ballerini’s Grammy-nominated double album, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat, which peaked at No. 11 on Top Country Albums.

Midway through her pitch-perfect, emotive performance, the scene changed to a new set decorated with wild greenery, and a khaki-clad Kahan strumming and singing the opening notes of his Billboard Hot 100 top 10 smash “Stick Season.” By the time he reached the midpoint of the song’s first chorus, Ballerini, now wearing an oversized gray flannel, joined in on an upper harmony, lending her bright voice to Kahan’s hit single.

Soon enough, Ballerini launched back into “Mountain With a View,” delivering her self-penned lyrics over the music of “Stick Season.” The two stars closed the performance with the final chorus of “Stick Season,” sharing a warm hug as the crowd exploded into cheers. The duo set a high bar for the night’s other performances, which include appearances from other non-country music stars such as Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani.

Ballerini is a nominee at this year’s ACMs, earning her 11th career nomination with a nod for female artist of the year.

“I’m freaking out right now,” Dan Smyers told the crowd at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, upon taking the stage to accept the trophy, turning to his partner. “Shay, I love you so much brother. I’m so proud to be back up on this stage with you. We’ve been on quite a wild journey over the past 10 years, we’ve seen a lot of highs and a lot of lows, but the one thing that has remained the same is the love and support of this country music community. You all are family to us.”

Smyers went on to shout out his family, and give a special message to his dog, Joy, who he shared is “kicking cancer’s a– right now.”

Shay Mooney then took the microphone, noting, “I’m so nervous right now. You’d think you’d get less nervous the more you do this.”

He continued, “I’m a little overwhelmed and I’m looking out here and see all my friends. You guys are my family, man. Thank you guys for getting us here and thank you for allowing us to make country music. God bless Texas, God bless country music and God bless Reba McEntire!”

Cardi B Isn’t Voting For Biden Or Trump, Steve Aoki’s EDC Preview, Kendrick Lamar Reaches Top 10 On TikTok & More | Billboard News

It’s Thursday, May 16th, and the House of Representatives have passed the TICKET Act. This bill will require ticket sellers (including sellers on the secondary market) to clearly and prominently disclose at the beginning of the transaction, and prior to the selection of a ticket, the total ticket price for the event and an itemized list of the base ticket price and each fee. Cardi B states that she will not be voting for either presidential candidate later this year. Take a look into our new segment ‘Unfiltered’ where we go over everything in the world of hip hop. Will Lay Bankz hold her No. 1 spot for a 4th week on the TikTok Billboard Top 50? Keep watching to kind out! We give you a sneak peek at EDC and what to expect this weekend with Steve Aoki and more!

Cardi won’t even vote,as fans are tired of some artists being silent on Gaza. We run down Billy Eilish’s numerous achievements. Steve Aoki tells us what to expect that EDC and we see who’s hot on the top. That’d be almost the end of the week. It’s Billboard News. And yes, it’s politics season, Cardi won’t even vote as fans are tired of some artists being silent on Gaza. And Congress finally shows some action on ticket prices. Let’s jump into politics and music. With some of the biggest tours ever going down over the last year. Fans want more insight to ticket prices and they might be getting it, the United States House of Representatives passed legislation called the Ticket Act, which will require ticket sellers to use more simple all in pricing, say no to speculative ticketing and even provide refunds for any canceled event. It will now move to the Senate before President Joe Biden signs it into law. But will fans even want to support artists? A viral trend has picked up where people are unfollowing or blocking celebs that haven’t spoken out about the dire situation in Palestine. But Cardi B is also staying out of politics this year. She told Rolling Stone on Trump and Biden. “I don’t f*ck with both of y’all. I feel like people got betrayed, it’s just like damn, Y’all not caring about nobody. Then it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any thing.” Yikes, I mean, my girl is not wrong, but we definitely encourage everybody to stay active as this race affects us all.

50 Cent’s Final Lap Tour Makes History, Becoming Only Third Rap Trek Ever to Cross $100M

Over two decades since 50 Cent strapped on his bullet-proof vest and dropped his iconic Get Rich or Die Tryin’ debut, the G-Unit boss is still making history.

According to Billboard Boxscore, 50’s The Final Lap Tour has eclipsed $100 million in earnings, making him only the second rapper to ever surpass that mark. The “In Da Club” rapper’s 2023 global trek grossed $103.6 million, with 1.05 million tickets sold across 83 shows in North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia.

Related

Prior to 50 joining the exclusive $100 million club, Drake was the only rapper to accomplish the feat, which he did with his last two treks (2023-2024’s It’s All A Blur Tour and 2018’s Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour).

In his decorated touring career to date, 50 Cent has grossed $150.3 million and sold 2.5 million tickets, placing him at No. 8 on the list of highest-grossing rap acts in Billboard Boxscore history. The most lucrative stop on 50’s Final Lap trek brought in a combined $4.4 million gross from a pair of dates (Nov. 11 and Nov. 23, 2023) at The O2 Arena in London.

There are a couple of rappers who could possibly be joining 50 and Drizzy in the $100 million club. Kendrick Lamar’s Big Steppers Tour grossed $85.4 million, though that sum doesn’t account for 16 shows in Europe and Australia that haven’t been reported to Boxscore.

Jay-Z has been part of two $100 million-grossing tours, but he’s excluded since both (On The Run I and II) were co-headlined by his wife Beyoncé.

Elsewhere, Travis Scott is set to score his $100 million membership card this summer when his Circus Maximus Tour heads to Europe for a slew of sold-out dates. Currently, he’s on the doorstep with $95 million accounted for on the North American leg.

50 isn’t the only rapper making touring history these days. Nicki Minaj‘s reunion with the Barbz in “Gag City” on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour has been lucrative, grossing $67 million and selling 439,000 tickets. It’s now the highest-grossing and best-selling rap tour by a woman in Boxscore history — and it’s not even over yet.

Kelly Clarkson Turns a ‘Bad Idea’ Into a Good One With Olivia Rodrigo Kellyoke Cover

Kelly Clarkson singing an Olivia Rodrigo song? That’s always a good idea.

On the latest episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show on Thursday (May 16), the talk show host took the Kellyoke stage for a cover of the 21-year-old pop star’s single “Bad Idea Right?,” injecting her New York City studio with a bit of pop punk angst.

Related

Dressed in a cheetah-print top and joined by her band Y’all, Clarkson’s powerful voice added some oomph to Rodrigo’s playful anthem about hooking up with an ex-boyfriend — in spite of what your friends might think. “Yes, I know that he’s my ex, but can’t two people reconnect?” she belted, washed over by intense red stage lights. “‘I only see him as a friend,’ the biggest lie I ever said.”

The second single from Rodrigo’s sophomore LP Guts, “Bad Idea Right?” peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album — which spawned the No. 1 hit single “Vampire” — debuted atop the Billboard 200 in 2023.

It’s not the first tune from the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series alum’s catalog that Clarkson has covered. In April, the “Stronger” vocalist put her own spin on Rodrigo’s Hunger Games soundtrack contribution “Can’t Catch Me Now” for Kellyoke, and she’s previously performed “Vampire,” “Traitor” and “Drivers License” on The Kelly Clarkson Show as well.

Rodrigo herself has also stopped by the talk show in the past. In December, she and Clarkson gushed about the “Good 4 U” artist’s Edward Cullen in-ear speakers and fangirled over Alanis Morissette together.

Watch Clarkson perform Rodrigo’s “Bad Idea Right?” on Kellyoke above.

In 2023, the 26-year-old four-time All-Star was named the 2023 National League Most Valuable Player in his sixth major-league season, marking the eighth time a Braves player has nabbed the title after Freddie Freeman (2020), Chipper Jones (1999), Terry Pendleton (1991), Dale Murphy (1982, 1983), Hank Aaron (1957), Robert Elliott (1947) and Johnny Evers (1914). A press statement at the time noted that Acuña “was a unanimous selection, receiving 30 of 30 first-place votes from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America. He finished with 420 points, 150 more than runner-up Mookie Betts.”

To celebrate his new MVP title, award-winning Mexican-American producer Samuel Ash dropped “La Bestia,” a catchy dembow song performed by Dominican artist Niko Eme.

“We wanted something that felt global and to do something we could put a chant to,” Ash previously told Billboard. “I know dembow is a Dominican genre but I felt that it could still feel global and resonate with him as a Venezuelan.”

Road Trip Like Rihanna & A$AP Rocky: 7 Portable Grills That Are Perfect for Memorial Day & Beyond

All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, Billboard may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

Even billionaires like a good deal. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky found love over a portable grill. The couple, who celebrated their 2-year-old son RZA’s birthday last weekend and welcomed a second son, Riot Rose, last year, fell for each other doing simple things such as setting out on a road trip and cooking their food on a “little janky grill” from Walmart.

Rihanna name-dropped the retailer in a 2022 Vogue magazine cover story, while opening up about her first pregnancy and falling for the Harlem rapper. Although the two had been friends for years, the pandemic — and a road trip from Los Angeles to New York City in the summer of 2020 — brought them closer. “I cooked our food on this little janky grill I bought from Walmart,” Rih recalled to Vogue at the time. “I still have it, too. It works like nobody’s business.”

In the spirit of Rih Rih, Rocky and their adorable family, and with Memorial Day and Father’s Day right around the corner, we decided to round up a list of bestselling portable grills that you can use for a road trip, tailgating party, Memorial Day BBQ or as a Father’s Day gift.

See below for a collection of portable grills to shop right now — including electric, propane and charcoal grills from Walmart and other retailers.

Walmart’s $150 Tablet Beats the iPad In Two Major Ways: Here’s Where to Get One Online

Tablets have basically become a travel necessity these days, acting like a supersized version of a smartphone with the ability to call, text, surf the web and even binge content on your favorite streaming platforms. Apple’s latest iPad Pro comes with 4K video quality and a super fast M4 chip, but the tablet also has a $999 price tag, making it more of an investment piece of tech.

Instead of waiting for the next major electronics sale, Walmart has its onn. Tablet Pro that shows off an affordable $150 price tag and one major feature that even the iPad Pro can’t brag about: a whopping 16 hours of battery life.

Per Apple, a full charge of the iPad Pro will get you up to 10 hours of battery life, but Walmart’s bestselling tablet beats it by six additional hours. Not only that, the device weighs only 1.08 pounds — noticeably lighter compared to the iPad’s 1.28 pounds.

Walmart Onn. Tablet Pro vs. iPad Reviews: $150 Deal, Shop Online

Onn. 11-Inch Tablet Pro

The Onn. Tablet Pro is built with an 11-inch screen that displays crisp, clear images, whether you’re editing photos or streaming video. Like any tablet, you can use the app store to download games, read books and even get health apps for more content and tracking options. We like taking our Onn. tablet on our commute and travel, to quickly check email, read the news and play games. The lightweight and slim profile make it easy to stash in a tote bag or backpack without taking up too much space.

Feature-wise, the Walmart tablet’s front camera can take 5MP photos, with an 8MP camera that’s great for videos. The Tablet Pro also comes in four colors: gold, gray, rose gold and silver.

Don’t just take our word for it: hundreds of Walmart shoppers have praised the device for its ease of use and value, making it one of the best tablet deals you can get for the price. One reviewer even noted the battery life saying “I have been able to watch at least 6-7 hours of video without thinking about getting the charger out.”

Lighter, longer-lasting and just $150, Walmart’s tablet is a no-brainer to pick up. See full details here.
