\n\tIn a video interview with Vogue <\/em>posted Sunday (May 26), the businesswoman opened up about raising her daughters to embrace their individuality \u2014 no matter who tried to break their souls. \u201cBeyonc\u00e9, she was very shy,\u201d she shared. \u201cShe got bullied a bit.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe day that she stood up for someone \u2026 she didn\u2019t stand up for herself, she stood up for them,\u201d Knowles added. \u201cI\u2019m getting emotional talking about it. I couldn\u2019t have been more proud of her.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tShe went on to share that her youngest daughter, Grammy-winning musician Solange, has \u201calways been an activist\u201d and often went around asking people to sign petitions. As for Bey\u2019s best friend and former Destiny\u2019s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, Knowles remembers the Mea Culpa <\/em>star as being a \u201clittle peacemaker\u201d when she was young.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cKelly was always this kid that tried to protect everybody,\u201d she continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tSharing the clip on her personal account, Knowles wrote, \u201cEach child is different!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBut all so special,\u201d she added. \u201cI believe kids are born with their personalities. My three girls All handled things very differently. Learn their personalities and respect the individuality.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tBey is now a mom herself, with Ms. Tina taking on the role of grandmother to 12-year-old Blue Ivy and 6-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, whom the \u201cTexas Hold \u2018Em\u201d singer shares with Jay-Z. That means the vocalist is imparting onto her own children the same lessons she previously learned from Knowles, including the importance of blocking out the haters and focusing on one\u2019s craft.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tFor instance, Knowles recently revealed that Bey had some wise words for Blue after her dancing at the Renaissance Tour received negative comments. \u201cIt was a great life lesson because her mom basically said, \u2018Listen, if you let this get you down, then they won,\u201d she recalled. \u201cSo you should go and work harder. And, you know, just work harder and get your skills together and go out there and blast it.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
