Welcome to a fresh episode of \u2018Billboard Unfiltered.\u2019 Guys, we have a jam-packed episode as we\u2019re gonna dive into arguably one of the greatest hip-hop battles we have seen of all time. Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar. Guys, I mean, I have not seen anything like this.<\/p>\n
\n\tDamien Scott:
It\u2019s definitely the busiest battle ever.<\/p>\n
\n\tTrevor Anderson:
Yeah, just the drop, drop, drop, drop, drop, drop, drop, drop\u2026<\/p>\n

I mean, they got us working overtime.<\/p>\n
\n\tDamien Scott:
Drake called it. He said drop, drop, drop, drop. That\u2019s what n\u2014as did.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m curious to get your takeaways from the battle. I mean, obviously, we have not seen anything like this. Seven disses in a week, double digits in a month.<\/p>\n
\n\tDamien Scott:
That\u2019s crazy.<\/p>\n
\n\tCarl Lamarre:
What are some of your biggest takeaways from this battle? I\u2019ll start with you, Dame.<\/p>\n
\n\tDamien Scott:
My biggest takeaway is that these are two of our best hitmakers working today. I think people already knew Drake was a hitmaker. He\u2019s our genre\u2019s premiere hitmaker. I think people underestimated how good of a hitmaker Kendrick was just because Kendrick doesn\u2019t drop that often. And when he does drop, you never know what you\u2019re going to get with Kendrick. He can be going in a different, more personal direction, where he\u2019s not really focused on the charts, or he can make an album like \u2018DAMN.\u2019 where it\u2019s much more accessible. I think this shows that these two guys, I would say, are the best we got.<\/p>\n
