\n\t\u201cI\u2019m really shy when I\u2019m not working and kind of shy around men,\u201d she told Jennifer Hudson on Wednesday (May 1) on the singer\u2019s daytime talk show. But here\u2019s the real kicker: \u201cAnd the reason I go out with young men is because men my age or older \u2014 well, now they\u2019re all dead \u2014 but before they just never, they were always terrified to approach me and younger men were the only ones that\u2026\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThey\u2019re bold,\u201d Hudson helped her out, with mother of two Cher laughing, \u201cYeah! Raised by women like me!\u201d The topic came up because the \u201cBelieve\u201d singer has recently been linked with 38-year-old music exec Alexander \u201cA.E.\u201d Edwards. Cher went Insta official with Edwards in Nov. 2022 with a pic of them holding hands. When asked if he was her \u201cnew man,\u201d she posted a smiling emoji, shutting down haters comments on their 40-year age gap by saying \u201clove doesn\u2019t know math\u201d then doubling-down on that emotion in January after posting another snuggly shot captioned \u201cLove is Love<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe also confirmed that she\u2019d once turned down a date with Elvis Presley, also for good reason. \u201cIt was because I was nervous and I knew of the people around him and it wasn\u2019t that they were bad people, it\u2019s just that I was kind of nervous of his reputation,\u201d she explained. <\/p>\n

\n\tCher also talked about how she still has it so together at her age, giving her mom credit for good genes, saying \u201cI stole my mom\u2019s voice and used it to become Cher.\u201d She also revealed that Tupac Shakur is now one of her favorite artists. \u201cI was so taken aback by the depth of the words,\u201d she said of the late rapper she was introduced to by Edwards. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe interview also touched on which of her songs are her favorite \u2014 yes \u201cBelieve\u201d is on the list \u2014 and what she would be if she hadn\u2019t become who she is. \u201cI can\u2019t think of any other profession that I would have been good at,\u201d she said as Hudson suggested stylist or model; Cher noted that she modeled for Vogue<\/em> and Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/em> at the beginning of her career, which late husband Sonny Bono didn\u2019t like because he was \u201creally, really jealous.\u201d<\/p>\n
