\n\tVenice announced the beta launch of a new tool called Co-Manager on Tuesday (April 2nd). The \u201ccareer assistant\u201d for artists incorporates \u201cinsights from top artist managers, marketers, streaming analysts, and digital strategists with OpenAI machine learning and your unique streaming data,\u201d according to a release.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCo-Manager is designed to educate artists on the business and marketing of music, so artists can spend more time focused on their creative vision,\u201d Suzy Ryoo<\/strong>, co-founder and president of Venice Music<\/a>, said in a statement. Venice, co-founded by Troy Carter<\/strong>, believes its tool can help artists plan advertising campaigns and album roll-outs.<\/p>\n

King<\/strong>, director of the King Law Firm, told<\/a> Billboard <\/em>earlier this year. <\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tBut the government isn\u2019t known for moving quickly. That means, \u201cwhatever we think about the state of AI and its legal treatment, it\u2019s important to stay nimble and try to think several steps out because things may change fast,\u201d Spotify general counsel Eve Konstan <\/strong>said<\/a> recently.<\/p>\n

It also heralds greater levels of insight through machine learning, as well as potential new licensing channels and avenues for commercial exploitation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSimilarly, Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge<\/strong> talked about the company goal of \u201cforg[ing] groundbreaking private-sector partnerships with AI technology companies\u201d in a memo to staff in January. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn addition, our artists have begun working with some of the latest AI technology to develop tools that will enhance and support the creative process and produce music experiences unlike anything that\u2019s been heard before,\u201d Grainge continued. \u201cAnd to leverage AI technology that would benefit artists, we continue to strike groundbreaking agreements with, among others, Endel and BandLab.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs the entertainment attorney Tamara Milagros-Butler<\/strong> put it<\/a> recently, \u201cdon\u2019t be afraid to explore AI as a tool, but maintain human connection.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
