\n\tJack Antonoff<\/a> is the producer behind some of the biggest pop records of the past decade, two of which \u2014 Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2018s Midnights <\/em>and Lana Del Rey<\/a>\u2018s Did You Know That There\u2019s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd <\/em>\u2014 earned album of the year nods at this year\u2019s Grammys. (Midnights <\/em>ended up taking home the prize.)<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd in an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1 <\/a>released Wednesday (March 6), the musical mastermind opened up about some of his most magical moments working with the \u201cAnti-Hero\u201d singer and \u201cSummertime Sadness\u201d musician. \u201cEvery time we do something new, I joke, \u2018I guess we still got it,\u2019 because there\u2019s no reason for it to keep coming the way it does,\u201d he told Lowe. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of magic there,\u201d Antonoff continued. \u201cI feel that way with Taylor, I feel that way with Lana \u2026 It\u2019s almost like, the more we do, the less I expect it. Because I often think to myself, well, how much longer could we really keep having this spark? And I\u2019m just grateful that it\u2019s there, and I don\u2019t know where it comes from or where it goes, but the one thing that I\u2019ve noticed is that anyone who claims to know where it comes from and where it goes burns out pretty quick.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tReflecting on making \u201cMariners Apartment Complex\u201d for Del Rey\u2019s acclaimed album Norman Fucking Rockwell!<\/em>, Antonoff described the surreal experience of watching the singer writing the chorus in real time. \u201cShe just got behind the mic, she just sang that part,\u201d he recalled. \u201cShe heard it, I heard it. And if anyone didn\u2019t hear how brilliant it was, they\u2019re a moron.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe also touched on the whirlwind moment he and Swift wrote the bridge to the pop star\u2019s Reputation <\/em>track \u201cGetaway Car,\u201d which the pair captured on video<\/a>. Fans loved the clip so much, Antonoff re-created it with Swift onstage during a surprise guest appearance at the Eras Tour last year. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI remember the moment that Taylor was sitting in my apartment and we were doing \u2018Getaway Car,\u2019 and it\u2019s like, these things, they tell you what they are, and they\u2019re pretty unimpeachable,\u201d he told Lowe. \u201cSo I guess that\u2019s what I look for, or that\u2019s why I know I could do something with someone, is if that\u2019s all we\u2019re looking for, is this feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n
