\n\tMexican social media superstar and singer Kim Loaiza<\/a> earns her first entry on a Billboard<\/em> album chart as her debut set, X Amor,<\/em> opens at No. 9 on the Latin Pop Albums<\/a> chart (dated Dec. 30).<\/p>\n \n\tX Amor <\/em>released Dec. 14 via Warner Latina, debuts in the top 10 with 2,000 equivalent units earned in the U.S. during the Dec. 15-21 tracking week, according to Luminate. Most of the set\u2019s opening sum stems from streaming equivalent album units. That figure equates to 2.82 million on-demand official streams of the album\u2019s tracks for its debut week.<\/p>\n \n\tX Amor<\/em>\u2018s arrival on the chart follows Loaiza\u2019s first record deal with a major label, however, it bows amidst controversy.<\/p>\n \n\tX Amor <\/em>debuts on the charts a week after Loaiza announced<\/a> she was walking away from the internet and quitting music following a number of controversies that broke out on Monday, Dec. 18. Those included accusations of plagiarizing Karol G (which she denied on X<\/a>) and sabotaging Mexican singer-songwriter Kenia Os\u2019 Mazatl\u00e1n performance (she has not addressed the latter) and admitting on YouTube<\/a> to lying about a break-up with her decade-long partner and artist JD Pantoja in order to generate publicity.<\/p>\n \n\tThe 16-track album includes collaborations with Lit Killah, Noriel, Andy Rivera, Omar Montes, Julianno Sosa, Elvis de Yongol, and Pailita; the songs have yet to enter a Billboard <\/em>chart. Ahead of X Amor<\/em> on the Dec. 30-dated Latin Pop Albums chart are titles from Luis Fonsi, Becky G, Juan Gabriel, Rosal\u00eda, Enrique Iglesias, Kali Uchis, Mana and the late Selena.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
