News emerged on Tuesday evening that all of Richarlison, Andros Townsend and Seamus Coleman had picked up issues:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Richarlison has suffered tear to the muscle in his calf and will be out for a number of weeks for Everton. Andros Townsend has a small fracture in his foot and will see a specialist. In addition, Seamus Coleman suffered bone bruising and soft tissue damage.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 paul joyce (@_pauljoyce) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/_pauljoyce\/status\/1470800797734785028?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 14, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nAnd, when speaking on Friday, Benitez did <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Adam_Jones94\/status\/1471113008848027649\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">confirm<\/a> that Richarlison is injured.<\/p>\n<p>Benitez would also seem to confirm that, despite recent results, he is safe in the Everton job for now. Benitez stated that he has spoken to Everton\u2019s owner Farhad Moshiri and he has also had meetings with the chairman, adding that the Toffees have experience changing managers and it was not working:<\/p>\n<p><em><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cI was talking with Mr Moshiri this morning, I\u2019ve had meetings with the chairman and Denise. Success or frustration?\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Benitez then added that he thinks Everton are going in the right direction and that the team would likely be in a much better spot if not for injuries.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI think we are going in the right direction. The fans could see what we were looking for \u2013 the intensity, commitment, way we were playing. Last year the squad was around 16 players during the whole season, some of them were injury prone.<\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><em>\u201cIf you have Dominic for three or four months fit, the team would be higher in the table and the fans happy in the end.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">More on this: \u201cI think we are going in the right direction.
