Reports stemming from Spain suggest FC Barcelona could reunite with one of their former star players, Neymar, as part of a deal for one of their current players.<\/p>\n

Frenkie de Jong & Barcelona<\/h2>\n

That player is said to be Frenkie de Jong.<\/p>\n

De Jong would sign for FC Barcelona back in the summer of 2019.<\/p>\n

The Spanish powerhouse are understood to have paid around\u00a0\u00a377m<\/a>\u00a0to bring the midfielder to the Camp Nou on the back of a starring campaign, in which he helped Ajax reach the semi-final of the Champions League.<\/p>\n

Since his move to Catalonia, though, De Jong has struggled to showcase the abilities that made him such a desirable asset for Barcelona in the first place.<\/p>\n

PSG to offer Neymar for De Jong?<\/h2>\n

Despite this, though, the aforementioned reports stemming from Spain suggest that PSG are looking to pull out all the stops to land the Dutchman.<\/p>\n

El Nacional<\/a> report that PSG would be willing to put up \u20ac50m for De Jong. This is \u20ac40m less than what Barca are believed to want for the midfielder.<\/p>\n

However, the report also adds that PSG would be willing to put up Neymar, who the Parisian side are said to be fed up with, as part of the deal:<\/p>\n

The French club is willing to pay up to 50 million for the Dutchman , which Bar\u00e7a do not accept at first as they are far from the 90s it could negotiate. But the name that appears in the background is that of Neymar Jr. , whom Nasser Al-Khela\u00effi would be willing to include in the operation as they are fed up with his figure and all that it entails.<\/em><\/p>\n

If this is indeed true, then should Barca be considering the deal? Attack is certainly one of La Blaguarna\u2019s weakest areas at present whereas, in midfield, they have a lot of promising young talent such as Pedri, Gavi and Nico Gonzalez.<\/p>\n

So, though De Jong is a top player, maybe it is worth letting him leave as, without a swap deal, it is hard to see Barcelona being able to come close to affording someone like Neymar.<\/p>\n
