\n\tElla Langley <\/a>is in rare air as a hitmaker, as her crossover smash \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d rules for a fifth week <\/a>on the Billboard Hot 100<\/a> this week (chart dated Apr. 11). Langley joins an elite group of women who have commanded the chart pinnacle in a lead role for five or more weeks with their first No. 1, among them<\/a> Olivia Rodrigo, Lizzo, Madonna, Adele, Alicia Keys, Beyonc\u00e9, Roberta Flack and Debby Boone.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d also tops the Hot Country Songs<\/a> chart for a 19th week, and Langley just released her star-studded music video<\/a> for \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d which was filmed in Fort Worth, Texas, and features Luke Grimes, Miranda Lambert, Kaitlin Butts and Ava Phillippe in key roles, while a plethora of cowboys and other musicians also make cameos.<\/p>\n \n\tThe song follows Langley\u2019s previous releases including \u201cYou Look Like You Love Me\u201d (feat. Riley Green) and \u201cWeren\u2019t for the Wind.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAll of this leads to the release of her upcoming album Dandelion<\/em> on Friday (April 10). The 18-song project marks a new musical era for Langley, and features not only the previously released \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas,\u201d \u201cBe Her\u201d and \u201cLoving Life Again,\u201d but also an anticipated collaboration with Miranda Lambert on \u201cButterfly Season,\u201d and a rendition of the Kitty Wells classic \u201cIt Wasn\u2019t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels.\u201d Langley executive produced the album with Lambert and Ben West.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThis record has so much growth in it,\u201d\u00a0Langley said in a statement when first revealing the album.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019ve never poured more of myself into a project, into a song, into an idea, and it\u2019s fallen out so beautifully.
