The continued efforts of Ekitike\u2019s agents to drag out negotiations, in the hope of one of European football\u2019s heavyweights entering the fray for the Frenchman\u2019s services.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media on Friday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the future of his side\u2019s crown jewel was put to Reims boss Oscar Garcia.<\/p>\n<p>And the ensuing comments on Garcia\u2019s part only served to put the final nail in the coffin of Newcastle\u2019s Ekitike pursuit.<\/p>\n<p>This comes with the tactician having first revealed that his attacking star \u2018wants to stay\u2019, before hinting that Ekitike could only be swayed into a transfer should one of Spain\u2019s two biggest clubs come calling:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Reims manager Oscar Garcia on Hugo Ekitike: \u201cHe told me he wanted to stay, but if Real Madrid or Barcelona are coming\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHugo feels calm.
