Reports emerging ahead of the weekend claim that Liverpool are unhappy with Mohamed Salah.

Salah is, of course, out of contract at Anfield in 2023 and talks over a new deal look to have hit a brick wall some time ago.

Earlier this week, The Athletic delivered a fresh update on the situation reporting that Mohamed Salah is going nowhere this summer, regardless of whether he signs a new contract.

However, beyond next summer, Salah’s future is increasingly uncertain and, to make matters worse, The Athletic alleges that Salah’s preference would be to stay in the Premier League rather than head overseas.

This would likely see Salah join one of Manchester City, Chelsea or Manchester United due to his hefty wages demands.

Length of contract not an issue for Salah. Would sign a 2-year extension at #LFC if the terms were right.

Not holding out for the security of a long deal. Player convinced he will continue to deliver at the highest level into his mid-30s.https://t.co/PfwCXjaHzr
