\n\tMaybe it runs in the family. When\u00a0Mark Ronson<\/a>\u00a0visited\u00a0The Tonight Show<\/em>\u00a0on Thursday night (Sept. 11) he doubled-down on a\u00a0recent offer<\/a>\u00a0from his stepdad\u2019s band to be the musical guest at Taylor Swift<\/a> and Travis Kelce\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n

\n\tA few weeks after\u00a0Foreigner<\/a>\u00a0threw their hat in the ring with an offer to be the wedding band at the recently engaged couple\u2019s as-yet-unannounced nuptials, Ronson told Jimmy Fallon that he was up to offer his party-starting turntable services as well.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf you guys need a DJ, Travis, Taylor,\u201d Ronson said, as Fallon tossed in his bid to be the couple\u2019s official wedding stand-up comedian. \u201cLet\u2019s get on that!,\u201d the pair agreed.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe chat opened with Ronson taking a victory lap for helping Foreigner \u2014\u00a0co-founded by his stepdad, guitarist Mick Jones \u2014\u00a0get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. The last time he was on with Fallon, Ronson brought along a\u00a0NSFW message from Sir Paul McCartney<\/a>\u00a0urging the RRHOF to finally induct the \u201cI Want to Know What Love Is\u201d band.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen I found out they got in, I was just, I guess because it was my stepdad, he\u2019s just done so much for me, he\u2019s such a huge influence,\u201d Ronson said of Jones. \u201cI was so much more excited when they got in than any other award or anything I ever got. I actually broke down and cried when I found out they got in.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tRonson was in Cleveland on the night of the induction, though he said Jones, who has Parkinson\u2019s, could not make it and stayed at home to watch it on TV and celebrate with his family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe visit also included Ronson, 50, talking about his new memoir,\u00a0Night People: How to Be a DJ in \u201890s New York City<\/a>, a remembrance of his crazy days and nights being a DJ in New York in the 1990s, which included Fallon sometimes helping him haul his crates of vinyl back to his van at the end of the night.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter recalling his thrilling first DJ gig at 10 years old \u2014\u00a0at his mom and stepdad\u2019s wedding \u2014\u00a0Ronson detailed the moment he realized he\u2019d found a unique style to set him apart from the many other DJs working clubs in New York at the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOne night I played AC\/DC \u2018Back in Black\u2019 at this like, super amazing hip-hop party where they didn\u2019t play anything like that,\u201d he said. \u201cPlaying the kind of wrong record in a place like that you could get a bottle thrown at the booth or worse.\u201d He described playing the biggest song at the time,\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s All About the Benjamins\u201d by\u00a0Puff Daddy with Notorious B.I.G., Lil Kim and the Lox, and throwing in a bit of the hard-rocking guitar break from the AC\/DC classic in the middle of the song and watching the club freeze for a scary second before everyone just lost it.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou know, the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward, it was this lovely moment,\u201d Ronson said of the moment he became known as \u201cthat guy\u201d in New York who would mix rock and hip-hop and everything else he could think of.<\/p>\n

\n\tNot for nothing, Ronson also described the time a DJ gave him a copy of the then-unreleased Biggie song \u201cHypnotize\u201d and he got to play it in a club just moments after he heard it for the first time. \u201cI just throw it on and the whole club.. you know how \u2018Hypnotize\u2019\u2026 that \u2018boom-uh!\u2019\u2026 it sounds like a meteor hitting the club. 500 people are hearing this song for the first time, knowing that they\u2019re experiencing history and everybody is connected by this experience.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tRonson hung around to play a game of \u201cTrue Confessions\u201d with Fallon and Reese Witherspoon, in which he told a tall tale about getting tucked in to bed as a kid by late comedy great Robin Williams.<\/p>\n
