\n\tBusta Rhymes<\/a> will receive his gold star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame <\/a>during a ceremony slated for Friday afternoon (Aug. 1) in Los Angeles. <\/p>\n

\n\tRadio legend Big Boy will serve as emcee for the Hollywood Blvd. ceremony while LL Cool J, <\/a>comic Chris Rock<\/a> and Chuck D<\/a> are locked in as guest speakers.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThirty-five years of professional recording is a long earning of my rite to passage. I\u2019m just glad they decided it\u2019s time for me. Everything is divine timing,\u201d Busta told CBS Mornings <\/em>on Monday (July 28). \u201cFor me, the longer that you waited, the longer that my speech is gonna be.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, Bus-a-Bus remained tight-lipped on some of the special guests he\u2019s expecting to see in the crowd. The ceremony will be livestreamed on the Walk of Fame website. <\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tHollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez championed Busta in a statement: \u201cThe Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will be adding Busta Rhymes, one of hip-hop\u2019s most enduring and electrifying voices, as a new member of Hollywood\u2019s iconic sidewalk.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe continued: \u201cHis talent and influence are undeniable. His star on the Walk of Fame will stand as a testament to his lasting impact on hip-hop music and how important it is to the American culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn the heels of being honored with the 2,818th star on the Walk of Fame, Busta is also gearing up to deliver his Vengeance<\/em> album in September. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEverything you have known to love me for is going to be part of this package, but there\u2019s gonna be a whole lot of things that I\u2019m finally becoming comfortable enough to share and add to the legacy,\u201d he said of his 12th studio LP on CBS Mornings<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tEven at 53 years old, the grind doesn\u2019t stop for Busta, who\u2019s heading to the silver screen this week as he stars in the upcoming reboot of The Naked Gun<\/em> alongside Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, which hits theaters on Aug. 1. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe thing I loved the most of experiencing the film was that the director [Akiva Schaffer] gave me a lot of opportunity to improvise,\u201d the New York rap legend explained. \u201cWe had an incredible amount of fun on the set.\u201d<\/p>\n
