\n\tMyles Smith<\/a> goes two-for-two atop Billboard<\/em>\u2019s Alternative Airplay<\/a> chart as \u201cNice to Meet You\u201d rises to No. 1 on the list dated July 19.<\/p>\n \n\tThe song follows the one-week rule of Smith\u2019s \u201cStargazing\u201d last September.<\/p>\n \n\tThe British singer-songwriter becomes the first act to top Alternative Airplay with two initial entries since Blackbear<\/a>, who first reigned as featured on All Time Low<\/a>\u2019s \u201cMonsters\u201d in 2020, followed by his mgk (formerly Machine Gun Kelly<\/a>) collab \u201cMy Ex\u2019s Best Friend\u201d in 2021.<\/p>\n \n\tAs for acts who reigned as a lead act on both songs, Smith is the first since Fitz and the Tantrums<\/a>, who went back-to-back with \u201cOut of My League\u201d in 2013 and \u201cThe Walker\u201d in 2014.<\/p>\n \n\tAs for soloists as the lead act on both introductory No. 1s? We have to go all the way back to 1995, when Alanis Morissette<\/a> led with \u201cYou Oughta Know\u201d and \u201cHand in My Pocket.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tConcurrently, \u201cNice to Meet You\u201d places at No. 11 after hitting No. 5 on Adult Alternative Airplay<\/a>. On the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay<\/a> chart, it ranks at No. 5, after reaching No. 4 the previous frame, with 4.1 million audience impressions, up 2%, in the week ending July 10, according to Luminate.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cNice to Meet You\u201d has received crossover airplay, too; it lifts 16-14 on Adult Pop Airplay<\/a> and bullets at No. 22 on Pop Airplay<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tThe song, which also features a remix with Lainey Wilson<\/a>, ranked at No. 90 on the most recently published Billboard Hot 100<\/a> (dated July 12, reflecting data June 27-July 3). In addition to its radio airplay (15.3 million audience impressions across all formats), it earned 3.6 million official U.S. streams and sold 1,000 downloads.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cNice to Meet You\u201d is on Smith\u2019s album A Minute\u2026<\/em>, which has earned 463,000 equivalent album units to date.<\/p>\n
