West Ham United are preparing a summer swoop for a high-profile member of the Chelsea loan army, according to reports.<\/p>\n

The player in question? Armando Broja.<\/p>\n

Hitman Broja is of course in the midst of an impressive stint in England\u2019s southeast, after linking up with Ralph Hasenhuttl\u2019s Southampton on a temporary basis last summer.<\/p>\n

All told, despite something of a barren spell in front of goal of late, the highly-regarded Albanian has racked up a respectable nine goals across all competitions, six of which came by way of the Premier League.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

It is Broja\u2019s all-round exploits, though \u2013 the 20-year-old boasts a rare combination of size, athleticism and touch \u2013 which are understood to have seen interest in his services begin to mount ahead of the 2022\/23 campaign.<\/p>\n

And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, an insight into the keenness of one such club to land Broja has been provided.<\/p>\n

As per a report from Jack Rosser of The Sun, West Ham have set their sights firmly on the on-loan Chelsea man to reinforce the club\u2019s frontline in the summer.<\/p>\n

The Hammers are of course in desperate need of fresh blood up top, having essentially run Michail Antonio into the ground across the season to date.<\/p>\n

Any such efforts to land Broja, though, could yet be complicated by Southampton, who too remain keen to lure the striker back to St. Mary\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the board at the London Stadium are expected to move forward with a big-money push for his signature upon the campaign\u2019s conclusion, with David Moyes in particular having been hugely impressed by Broja\u2019s efforts across a trio of meetings with West Ham this term.<\/p>\n
