\n\tLaura Pausini<\/a> and Rauw Alejandro<\/a> performed their duet \u201cSe Fue\u201d for the first time together in concert, seven months after the collaboration was included on Alejandro\u2019s 2024 Cosa Nuestra <\/em>album.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Italian songstress and Puerto Rican artist finally joined forces for a live performance of Pausini\u2019s original 1990s hit during Rauw\u2019s Cosa Nuestra tour stop in Milan<\/a>, Italy on Sunday (June 29).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSinging \u2018Se Fue\u2019 for the first time on stage with Rauw Alejandro, in front of his fans in Milan, was magical and so much fun,\u201d Pausini exclusively tells Billboard<\/em>. \u201cI think he\u2019s an incredible entertainer, I truly adore him, and I love this version of the song! I felt so proud and excited to see how a new generation connects with a song that has meant so much in my career. It reminded me why I work so hard to create and select my songs, because once they touch someone, they never really go away\u2026 they just keep finding new hearts to live in. That\u2019s the power of music.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tPausini first released the song in her native Italian, under the title \u201cNon c\u2019\u00e8,\u201d in 1993, and then in Spanish as \u201cSe Fue\u201d in 1994. The latter hit No. 24 on the Hot Latin Songs chart in January 1995. Prior to theming up, Rauw had performed \u201cSe Fue\u201d at the 2023 Latin Grammys, on the heels of his very public breakup with Rosal\u00eda.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, 30 years after its release, Rauw not only reworked the classic for his album, but recruited Pausini for a euphoric collaboration. Staying true to the song\u2019s lyrics about yearning for a loved one after a breakup, they experimented with a hyped-up, futuristic electronic song \u2014 a contrast to Pausini\u2019s soft rock ballad. The new version gave Pausini her first Billboard Hot 100<\/a> career entry last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
