\n\tLinkin Park delivered a four-song set ahead of the UEFA Champions League final in Munich on Saturday night (June 1), continuing their return to the live stage with performances of \u201cThe Emptiness Machine,\u201d \u201cIn the End,\u201d \u201cNumb,\u201d and \u201cHeavy Is the Crown.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tTaking the stage at Munich Football Arena just before kickoff between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan, the band\u2019s appearance served as a high-profile preview of their upcoming world tour, which supports their latest album, From Zero<\/em>, released last year.<\/p>\n \n\tThe set marked another major step in the band\u2019s evolution following the addition of vocalist Emily Armstrong<\/a>, who officially joined the lineup last September. Armstrong\u2019s debut sparked conversation online, including public commentary from the late Chester Bennington\u2019s family and discussion around her past professional affiliations.<\/p>\n \n\tFrom Zero<\/em> is Linkin Park\u2019s first studio album since 2017\u2019s One More Light<\/em>, released just months before Bennington\u2019s death. <\/p>\n \n\tAt the band\u2019s first show with their new lineup last year, co-founder Mike Shinoda addressed the crowd, saying, \u201cWe are thrilled to be back out here. It is not about erasing the past. It is about starting this new chapter into the future and coming out here for each and every one of you.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShinoda expanded on that sentiment during a guest appearance on The Tonight Show<\/em>, explaining, \u201cI think the important thing for us is that we never set out to, like, \u2018Let\u2019s bring the band back\u2019 or \u2018Let\u2019s find a singer.\u2019 That was never our intention or our goal.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe album\u00a0<\/span>debuted at No. 1 on all of the above charts last November, except for the Billboard 200 and\u00a0Top Album Sales<\/a>, where it arrived at No. 2. Following\u00a0<\/span>its deluxe reissue with additional tracks on May 16, From Zero<\/em> recently returned<\/a> to\u00a0Top Album Sales<\/a>\u00a0(at No. 5),\u00a0Top Hard Rock Album<\/a>s (No. 4),\u00a0Vinyl Albums<\/a>\u00a0(No. 8),\u00a0Top Alternative Albums<\/a>\u00a0(No. 9),\u00a0Top Rock Albums<\/a>\u00a0(No. 15),\u00a0Top Rock & Alternative Albums<\/a>\u00a0(No. 17),\u00a0Indie Store Album Sales<\/a>\u00a0(No. 17) and the\u00a0Billboard 200<\/a>\u00a0(No. 71) charts dated May 31.<\/p>\n \n\tThe North American leg of Linkin Park\u2019s upcoming tour is set to kick off July 29 at Brooklyn\u2019s Barclays Center. The run will include stops across the U.S. through August and September, including a major date at Dodger Stadium with Queens of the Stone Age, before it wraps Sept. 24 in Seattle.<\/p>\n
