\n\tThugger had been locked up for more than two years while fighting for his freedom as part of the YSL RICO trial.<\/a> He eventually reached a plea deal on Oct. 31, 2024.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, there is a connection between the YSL trial and Diddy\u2019s, as Thug\u2019s attorney Brian Steel<\/a> is part of the Bad Boy mogul\u2019s legal defense team. Steel cross-examined Cudi while he was on the stand.<\/p>\n

\n\tCudder briefly dated Cassie <\/a>in the early 2010s, but the romance was ultimately short-lived. As part of his testimony, Kid Cudi recalled Diddy allegedly\u00a0setting his Porsche on fire<\/a> in his driveway with a Molotov cocktail. Cudi also tied a break-in of his home around the time of his relationship with Cassie to Diddy.<\/p>\n

\n\tCassie named Cudi in her 2023 sexual abuse lawsuit,<\/a> which lit the fuse against Diddy, claiming Combs attempted to blow up the \u201cDay \u2018n\u2019 Nite\u201d rapper\u2019s car. While on the stand <\/a>on Day 3 of the trial, she explained why she cut the relationship with Cudi short. \u201cToo much danger, too much uncertainty of what could happen if we continued to see each other,\u201d Cassie said.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for Cudi, he took to social media to reflect on the \u201cstressful situation\u201d after taking the stand, and the Ohio native said he\u2019s \u201cglad it\u2019s behind\u201d him.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been seeing all the love and support and I just want to say thank you so much, man,\u201d Cudi said in a video he shared to various platforms. \u201cPeople been hitting me up the past week just checking in and even today, it really means a lot to me, man. You guys are the best. I love y\u2019all. This is a stressful situation. I\u2019m glad it\u2019s behind me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Thugger\u2019s side, he\u2019s been teasing his UY SCUTI<\/em> album,<\/a> which he\u2019s hinted at a June arrival date for. He reunited with Future <\/a>for his \u201cMoney on Money\u201d single in April. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
