Released in February via Nervous Records, the song hits No. 1 with a 31% surge in plays among 24\/7 dance reporters and pop stations\u2019 mix show hours, according to Luminate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe remix reimagines Tame Impala\u2019s 2015 psych-pop staple from its album <em>Currents<\/em>, which ruled the Top Alternative Albums and reached No. 4 on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/billboard-200\/\">Billboard 200<\/a>. The original track was a fan favorite, reaching No. 35 on Hot Rock &amp; Alternative Songs and No. 37 on Alternative Airplay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tTame Impala\u2019s Kevin Parker, credited as the sole writer, collects his third No. 1 on Dance\/Mix Show Airplay, following two smashes with Dua Lipa in 2024: \u201cHoudini\u201d (four weeks at No. 1) and \u201cIllusion\u201d (five weeks). He also reached the chart as a writer on Lady Gaga\u2019s \u201cPerfect Illusion\u201d in 2016 (No. 28 peak).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAs for Mau P (also known as Maurice West), the Amsterdam-born DJ scores his first No. 1. He previously appeared on Dance\/Mix Show Airplay with \u201cDrugs From Amsterdam\u201d (No. 16 peak; 2023) and \u201cOn Again\u201d (No. 24; 2024). He\u2019s also charted four entries on Hot Dance\/Electronic Songs: \u201cDrugs From Amsterdam\u201d (No. 25), \u201cGimme That Bounce\u201d (No. 35; 2023), \u201cReceipts,\u201d with Diplo featuring Gunna (No. 24; 2024), and \u201cThe Less I Know the Better\u201d (No. 14).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMau P has been active in the house and techno worlds for nearly a decade. He first cracked the chart in 2018 with \u201cHold On to Me,\u201d which climbed to No. 3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cAfterlove\u201d is also a milestone for New York City-based DJ JAYEM (real name Justin Mondello), as the song marks his first-ever appearance on <em>Billboard<\/em>\u2019s charts. \u201c[Charting on <em>Billboard<\/em> has been] a dream of mine I\u2019ve been longing to achieve ever since I started producing music,\u201d he shared in a post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DJ5asJjMD91\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\">on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s an honor to be on such a prestigious chart alongside artist[s] I\u2019ve looked up to my whole career.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFor Aviella, the song earns the singer-songwriter her fourth career entry on Dance\/Mix Show Airplay.
