Bow Wow gave fans some interesting insight into how beats get passed around, while also making a crazy revelation.

Sitting down with former NBA player Jeff Teague for his Club 520 podcast, Bow Wow was asked which songs he’s passed on over the course of his career. First, he mentioned passing on the beat that eventually became Wale‘s “Lotus Flower Bomb,” featuring Miguel, because nothing was sticking when he was trying to write a song for it. He then told Club 520 that Polow da Don sent him the beat to Lil Wayne and Rick Ross‘ song “John” from Tha Carter IV by mistake after he had already invited Gucci Mane to make a song over Polow’s production.

Finally, the rapper and actor revealed that he and Meek Mill had the “Stay Schemin” beat before Rick Ross, French Montana and Drake made it into a top 20 Hot Rap Songs hit. “We had the beat first,” he said after saying him and Meek were in the studio working on it. “You can look that up on YouTube.
