\n\tMusician and producer Natalie Bergman<\/a> is back with her second solo album. Formerly one-half of the brother\/sister duo Wild Belle<\/a>, Bergman will release My Home Is Not in This World<\/em> via Jack White<\/a>\u2019s Third Man Records on July 18.<\/p>\n

\n\tRecorded analog-to-tape and produced by her brother and longtime collaborator Elliot Bergman<\/a>, the 12-track record shimmers with gospel soul, country-western heartache and rock \u2018n\u2019 roll grit, all filtered through Natalie\u2019s unmistakable voice.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe title is an acknowledgement of my longing for this place over yonder,\u201d Bergman said in a release. \u201cIt represents my desire to not be a part of what\u2019s going on digitally. I was trying to be the antithesis of a lot of modern music. There are some earthy sounds and many of the songs are about love. At the same time, it\u2019s about finding my place on earth\u2014even though I\u2019ve never truly felt like I belonged here.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tLeading the charge is the album\u2019s first single \u201cGunslinger.\u201d As if plucked out of a vintage Western film, \u201cGunslinger\u201d features Bergman\u2019s smoky vocals detailing a former flame singing, \u201cYou could take me down with your smile.\u201d The California desert anthem builds with acoustic guitar and a grooving bass line as Bergman reminisces about unrequited love and yearning.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe accompanying black-and-white video taps into Bergman\u2019s appreciation for soul-music nostalgia. The \u201cGunslinger\u201d video features the singer and two additional dancers in a playful caper chasing around musician\u00a0Ian\u00a0Svenonius decked out in Western attire.
