\n\tLucy Dacus and MUNA\u2019s Katie Gavin are on the latest cover of Alternative Press<\/em>,<\/a> and the duo paid tribute to an iconic Vanity Fair<\/em> cover for their photoshoot.<\/p>\n \n\tIn the snap, Dacus is seen in a barber chair with shaving cream on her face, as Gavin gives her a sensual shave while wearing a black one-piece leotard. The snap recreates the Vanity Fair<\/em> cover<\/a> from 1993 featuring k.d. Lang and Cindy Crawford, photographed by Herb Ritts.<\/p>\n \n\tSee the cover here<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tGavin and Dacus are heading out on tour together this year, in support of the latter\u2019s recently released album, Forever Is a Feeling<\/em>. Gavin called the project Dacus\u2019 \u201cbest one yet\u201d in the Alternative Press<\/em> conversation between the two, and Dacus agreed, noting that she feels \u201ccloser and closer to [making] music I would listen to.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tGavin then added, \u201cAfter I listened to your record this morning, I was like, \u2018I think this is more love songs than I\u2019ve ever written in my life on one album.\u2019 It\u2019s so beautiful. [\u2026] There\u2019s so much real intimacy on this record and things that make me laugh \u2019cause they\u2019re so real, but it\u2019s also blissed out and genuinely romantic.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tDacus, who recently revealed that she and her boygenius bandmate Julien Baker are in a relationship, also recently opened up to Billboard<\/em> <\/a>about the romantic themes of her album. \u201cOnce you focus on one thing and one person, it actually recontextualizes everything else, and you realize that every detail is its own universe,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
