A number of European clubs look to be doing battle for Ajax central defender, Justin Timber.

Timber is currently being managed by Erik ten Hag in the Dutch capital. However, recent reports have suggested that the central defender is one of the players Ten Hag would look to bring to Old Trafford should he become their permanent boss this summer.

Now though, fresh reports this week claim that Chelsea are also interested in the young defender, with Manchester United and Arsenal too named as interested parties.

And whilst they are not mentioned in the above-linked report, Timber himself has previously suggested he would be open to a Manchester City move:

Ajax centre-back, Jurriën Timber (20):

“I like to play for prizes; that’s why I say #ManCity now [over Barcelona]. Barcelona has a less good period at the moment. I plan to stay here for a while. But if @ManCity calls, what should I do?”
