\n\tBTS<\/a>\u2018 j-hope<\/a> previewed his upcoming solo single on Friday, giving ARMY a nine-second taste of the thumping tune. With a buzzy, glitched-out beat and woozy bass line, the first taste of the tune lacked audible vocals, though there did appear to be some chopped-up voices buried in the mix. <\/p>\n

\n\tA first taste on X featured a montage of images of the singer in stylish outfits flipping by in a series of fashion shoot-like shots. In an announcement on Weverse<\/a>, BIGHIT Music described the track as, \u201ca hip-hop and R&B track that celebrates a captivating person by playfully comparing them to the iconic masterpiece \u2018Mona Lisa,\u2019 which has charmed the world for centuries. Through this song, j-hope conveys that true allure lies not in one\u2019s external beauty but in the unique qualities that make the person special.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new single is due out on Friday (March 21) and it comes on the heels of last week\u2019s late night TV debut of hope\u2019s recent single \u201cSweet Dreams<\/a>\u201d with Miguel.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe digital single is further described as a \u201cheartfelt surprise gift\u201d from J-hope to his fans in appreciation of their \u201cunwavering love and support.\u201d All he asks in return for his gratitude is for ARMY to kindly offer up their \u201centhusiastic support and interest in j-hope\u2019s future endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHobi rolled out the debut live performance<\/a> of \u201cMona Lisa\u201d during his debut U.S. solo concert at the Barclays Center in New York last Thursday during the first date on his Hope on the stage tour. \u201cLove the way you take the stress and Louis off of me,\u201d he sang on the sultry track while pulling off some hip-swiveling, sultry dance moves<\/a> and bragging, \u201cI like my girls pretty, so fine\/ One plus the nine\/ How you get me goin\u2019\/ Might just blow it.\u201d <\/p>\n
