\n\tGossip blogger Tasha K has agreed in bankruptcy court to pay Cardi B<\/a> more than $1 million over the next five years and to not make any \u201cderogatory, disparaging, or defamatory statements\u201d about the superstar.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn court filings Friday (Feb. 21), attorneys for Tasha (Latasha Kebe) offered a plan to resolve her years-long federal bankruptcy case \u2014 proceedings made necessary by a $3.9 million judgment for defaming Cardi with outlandish claims of drug use, STDs and prostitution.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tYears Later, Cardi B Is Still Battling With Tasha K In Court Over $4M Defamation\u00a0Verdict\t\t<\/p>\n<\/h3><\/div>\n

\n\tThe new plan will cover only $1.2 million \u2014 less than a third of that fine. But under the terms of the agreement, Tasha will still owe the rest of the damages award even after she finishes the repayment plan: \u201cThe Almanzar Claim is non-dischargeable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the first year of the agreement, known as a \u201cplan of reorganization,\u201d Tasha will pay $44,907 per quarter to her unsecured creditors, the vast majority of which will go to Cardi. By year five, those quarterly payments will escalate to $81,057.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an unusual feature, the bankruptcy plan also includes a non-disparagement clause, barring Tasha not only from defaming Cardi while the plan is in place but also from even mentioning her or any of her family members.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Debtor shall ensure that no content related to Ms. Alm\u00e1nzar and\/or her family, whether explicitly or implicitly, will be published or disseminated on any of the Debtor\u2019s social media accounts, websites, blogs, or other online communication channels,\u201d her lawyers wrote.<\/p>\n

\n\tAttorneys for both sides did not immediately return requests for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe filing is the latest wrangling in Cardi\u2019s long-running efforts<\/a> to collect on the huge 2022 judgment, which came after a federal jury found that Tasha had made false and defamatory statements about the superstar on YouTube and other platforms.<\/p>\n

\n\tCardi has repeatedly vowed to recover that money by any means necessary \u2014 saying \u201cimma come for everything\u201d and \u201cb\u2014- better have my money.\u201d Tasha filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy<\/a> in 2023, saying she still owed $3.4 million to Cardi and had less than $60,000 in assets. But the rapper has pursued her, later winning a ruling that Tasha couldn\u2019t use the bankruptcy process to \u201cdischarge\u201d the judgment.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn December, Cardi\u2019s attorneys demanded that the bankruptcy case be dismissed entirely, accusing Tasha of orchestrating a \u201clong-running fraudulent scheme to shield debtor\u2019s assets and income from creditors.\u201d They said she had fraudulently transferred and concealed money and had lied to both Cardi and the federal courts.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt is clear and irrefutable that debtor has admittedly and repeatedly engaged in bad faith conduct to hinder, delay, and defraud Ms. Alm\u00e1nzar from collecting on the amended defamation judgement,\u201d the star\u2019s lawyers wrote. \u201cThis court should not allow debtor to further abuse the bankruptcy process.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA day after Cardi filed her motion to dismiss, the court-appointed trustee \u2014 a neutral third party who helps shepherd a bankruptcy case toward a repayment plan \u2014 filed her own motion endorsing Cardi\u2019s arguments and urging the judge to dismiss Tasha\u2019s bankruptcy case.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe threat of such an outcome likely forced Tasha\u2019s attorneys to negotiate Friday\u2019s agreement, avoiding the risk that the bankruptcy would be dismissed entirely.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
