Rio Ferdinand has offered Manchester United some advice regarding their manager hunt.<\/p>\n

This, of course, comes with the Red Devils still yet to appoint a permanent coach following the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.<\/p>\n

The likes of Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino have been the main names linked.<\/p>\n

However, Rio Ferdinand has urged the Manchester outfit to seek out Thomas Tuchel amid Chelsea\u2019s ongoing ownership issues:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m taking Tuchel man, I don\u2019t care,\u201d admitted Ferdinand, speaking on the\u00a0Vibe with Five Youtube channel.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cIf the roles were reversed and Man United were there and had Tuchel as a sitting duck at our football club, we are presuming he\u2019s a sitting duck from the reports we are hearing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf that was the case and the roles were reversed, trust me, Roman and the empire would knock down the door. They wouldn\u2019t even knock down the door, they\u2019d run round the side and take him.<\/p>\n

\u201cTuchel would be the one. He\u2019s got the pedigree. He\u2019s shown already that he can come into this league, he\u2019s adapted straight away, he\u2019s won the Champions League, he can galvanise a squad, he can get them playing. He can create a culture, create a togetherness. He\u2019s got discipline.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

What has Tuchel said about taking the Manchester United job?<\/h2>\n

Tuchel was asked about links to the Manchester United job earlier this month, but the former Borussia Dortmund manager seemed quick to dismiss them:<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you feel me less committed or involved with this club,\u201d Tuchel\u00a0asked<\/a>. \u201cAbsolutely not. I love to work for Chelsea and this club has everything it needs to make me happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, a lot could change in the next few months but, given the state Manchester United as a club find themselves in, it is hard to see why any properly top manager would wish to go there at present.<\/p>\n
