\n\tSouth by Southwest has announced new keynotes and its latest round of featured speakers for its 39th edition, taking place March 7-15 across Austin.<\/p>\n

\n\tNewly announced keynotes include Issa Rae<\/strong>, the creative force behind HBO\u2019s Insecure<\/em>; Meredith Whittaker<\/strong>, president of Signal; and Ben Lamm<\/strong>, CEO of Colossal Biosciences, who\u2019ll be joined by actor Joe Manganiello<\/strong> to discuss advancements in\u2026 cloning. They join previously announced keynotes such as Creedence Clearwater Revival<\/a> icon John Fogerty<\/a>, Bluesky CEO Jay Graber<\/strong>, and IBM chairman and CEO Arvind Krishna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe featured speakers lineup includes the cast and creators of HBO\u2019s The Last of Us<\/em>, game designer Hideo Kojima<\/strong>, Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe<\/strong>, comedian and podcaster Conan O\u2019Brien<\/strong>, actor and musician Kevin Bacon<\/a>, and Something Corporate<\/a> singer-songwriter Andrew McMahon<\/strong>. Additional speakers include comedian Taylor Tomlinson<\/strong> food critic Keith Lee and social health expert Kasley Killam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis new slate of speakers complements SXSW\u2019s rounds of announcements, which included Donald Passman, Ghazi, Dr. Peter Attia, Johanna Faries, Douglas Rushkoff, and more.<\/p>\n

\n\tHighlighted sessions include \u201cColossal: Technology Company Turning Science Fiction to Science Fact,\u201d where Lamm and Manganiello will explore advancements in gene editing and cloning. \u201cA Conversation with Issa Rae\u201d will cover her career and media company, HOORAE, while \u201cA Conversation About Online Security and Confidentiality\u201d will see Whittaker discussing privacy with Guy Kawasaki<\/strong>. Other panels include \u201cBalloonerism \u2013 A Film Based on the Album by Mac Miller,\u201d a discussion on a new film inspired by the late artist\u2019s work, and \u201cBreaking Barriers by Turning Prisoners into Firefighters,\u201d focusing on rehabilitation through firefighting programs.<\/p>\n

\n\tEntertainment-focused chats will include \u201cFans Over Fees,\u201d where McMahon will address ticket scalping and fair access to live events; \u201cClaiming the Future of Entertainment,\u201d where O\u2019Brien and gaming exec Johanna Faries<\/strong> will discuss gaming\u2019s influence on media; and \u201cDEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH,\u201d where Kojima will reveal details about the video game.<\/p>\n

Business-oriented panels include \u201cHow America\u2019s 33M Small Businesses Can Grow and Prosper,\u201d featuring Mark Cuban<\/strong>; and \u201cHow Technology Is Transforming Urban Spaces,\u201d examining AI\u2019s role in city infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdditional sessions will feature discussions on AI in media with Paramount CTO Phil Wiser<\/strong>, immersive storytelling with ILM Immersive, and influencer entrepreneurship with Keith Lee<\/strong> and Jennifer Quigley-Jones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
