\n\tDMX<\/a>\u2018s ex-wife opened up about the late rappers unfortunate business decisions and finances.<\/p>\n \n\tSitting down with Carlos King for his Reality with the King<\/a><\/em> podcast, Tashera Simmons revealed DMX was on his way to becoming a billionaire at one point. \u201cI remember looking at our bank accounts and the zeros wouldn\u2019t stop. I\u2019m not even exaggerating,\u201d she recalled. \u201cHe got $10 million a movie. He made millions just doing a show, and when he went on tour, he would come back with\u2026 \u201cI would say we were very close to being billionaires. X made\u00a0a lot. It was\u00a0so<\/em>\u00a0much money.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShe also said the Yonkers rapper was approached about an opportunity to invest in the Barclays Center, but turned it down. \u201cThey asked X about the Barclays Center. I\u2019ll never forget it,\u201d she said. \u201cThey called him and said, \u2018Jay is in. They wanna know if you wanna put in $1 million to get in.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAdding, \u201cUnfortunately, when you\u2019re \u2014 I hate to say it \u2014 ignorant and you don\u2019t have any real business sense, X didn\u2019t see that as a good investment. I saw it, and I didn\u2019t even have a lot of business sense. X didn\u2019t want to do it, and now look. There were a lot of bad business decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBad business decisions aside, X made sure to take care of those closest to him. \u201cHe spent\u00a0a lot\u00a0of money\u2026 taking care of everybody and their mama,\u201d she said about his generosity. \u201cIf somebody died, he\u2019ll pay for their entire funeral. He would go on vacation and rent the entire hotel out, spend over $150,000 a day.
