\n\tThe Grammy-nominated country superstar is set to appear on the 23rd season of American Idol<\/em>, as the show\u2019s first-ever \u201cartist in residence,\u201d according to Variety<\/em>.<\/a> Per the publication, Jelly will first appear on the season during the \u201cHollywood Week\u201d episodes and continue to become \u201ca permanent fixture this season and will work closely with the Idol hopefuls, giving them firsthand advice on how to navigate the journey.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIt\u2019s hardly Jelly\u2019s first time on American Idol<\/em>. In 2024, he appeared as a guest mentor on the April 8 episode of\u00a0the show and\u00a0performed<\/a>\u00a0his song \u201cHalfway to Hell\u201d from his 2023 album\u00a0Whitsitt Chapel<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tBefore that, in 2023,\u00a0he teamed with Lainey Wilson to perform \u201cSave Me\u201d on the\u00a0American Idol<\/em> finale.
