\n\tThe countdown has begun for Amazon Studios\u2019 premiere of You\u2019re Cordially Invited<\/em>. Lift-off for the highly anticipated comedy starring Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon is set for Jan. 30 on Prime Video<\/a>. In advance of the premiere, Billboard<\/em> is now cordially inviting viewers to watch an exclusive clip above from the film\u2019s opening scene featuring Stevie Wonder\u2019s 1976 classic \u201cIsn\u2019t She Lovely.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe premise of You\u2019re Cordially Invited <\/em>revolves around two weddings that are accidentally booked on the same day at the same venue. Both hilarity and chaos ensue when the father of one bride (Ferrell) and sister of the other bride (Witherspoon) go head-to-head in their very determined efforts to ensure their families\u2019 respective special celebrations go off without a hitch. In the film\u2019s opening scene, viewers are introduced to Ferrell\u2019s loving dad character while Wonder\u2019s song plays in the background.<\/p>\n

\n\tYou\u2019re Cordially Invited<\/em> was written and directed by Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Muppets<\/em>). Of using \u201cIsn\u2019t She Lovely\u201d in the film\u2019s opening sequence, Stoller tells Billboard<\/em>, \u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful song about the birth of Stevie Wonder\u2019s daughter, which makes it the perfect introduction to Will Ferrell and his daughter [played by Geraldine Viswanathan]. Also, it\u2019s one of my favorite songs of all time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe knew we wanted to open the film with a song that was 100% pure joy, positivity and universally loved by all,\u201d note the film\u2019s music supervisors Manish Raval and Tom Wolfe. \u201cStevie Wonder\u2019s \u2018Isn\u2019t She Lovely\u2019 is not only that song, but the fact that, lyrically, it\u2019s a love letter to his daughter makes it the perfect sentiment to play as Jim [Ferrell] is awaiting his daughter\u2019s return home.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to Ferrell, Witherspoon and Viswanathan, the You\u2019re Cordially Invited<\/em> cast includes Meredith Hagner, Jimmy Tatro, Stony Blyden, Leanne Morgan, Rory Scovel, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ramona Young, Jack McBrayer and Celia Weston.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
