\n\tClose to two years on from their debut EP, BSS \u2013 one of the sub-units of South Korean outfit SEVENTEEN<\/a> \u2013 have returned with their latest musical offering, sharing the three-track Teleparty<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tWhen SEVENTEEN first launched in 2015, the collective divided its 17-strong membership into the Hip-Hop Unit, Vocal Unit and Performance Unit. Three years later, in 2018, the first sub-unit was announced, with Seungkwan, DK and Hoshi coming together to form BSS.<\/p>\n \n\tLaunching that same year with debut single \u201cJust Do It\u201d, the trio unveiled their debut EP in 2022, with Second Wind<\/em> topping Korea\u2019s Circle Album Chart upon its release. With lead single \u201cFighting\u201d seeing BSS joining forces with breakout Korean hip-hop star Lee Youngji, it was a testament to the power of three as SEVENTEEN\u2019s members divided and continued to conquer.<\/p>\n \n\tWhile SEVENTEEN have been busy in the interim with more chart-topping singles, EPs, compilations, and reissues, so too have BSS, who announced their long-awaited return in December.<\/p>\n \n\tThat comeback arrives by way of Teleparty<\/em>, which releases Wednesday (Jan. 8). Taking its title from a portmanteau of \u201ctelepathy\u201d and \u201cparty\u201d, the EP is said to represent BSS\u2019 \u201cheart-to-heart party of connection through their telepathic empathy\u201d, while also reminding listeners to slow down and take note of the ordinary \u2013 though precious \u2013 moments in everyday life.<\/p>\n \n\tIn a trailer promoting the EP, the trio act as apparent \u201cambassadors of youth\u201d, providing everyone from students, office workers, and elders the chance to reclaim their youthful behavior as they live in the moment. \u201cYouth is, in fact, knowing how to enjoy life in the present,\u201d they claim. \u201cIf you can\u2019t do that, you\u2019re not youthful, even if you\u2019re young.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe three-track release finds itself fronted by the swing and country-influenced lead single \u201cCBZ (Prime Time)\u201d, and accompanied by the new jack swing throwback \u201cHappy Alone\u201d and \u201900s-era R&B cut \u201cLove Song\u201d, further showcasing the musical diversity of the trio.<\/p>\n \n\tThe arrival of Teleparty<\/em> is also being accompanied by a \u201cspecial fan party\u201d<\/a> being held at Seoul\u2019s CG Art Hall on Sunday (Jan. 12).<\/p>\n \n\tListen to Teleparty<\/em> in full below.<\/p>\n
