\n\tThe Head and the Heart<\/a> notches its fifth leader on Billboard<\/em>\u2019s Adult Alternative Airplay<\/a> chart, vaulting three places to No. 1 on the Dec. 21-dated survey with \u201cArrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe band previously topped the Adult Alternative Airplay tally with \u201cVirginia (Wind in the Night)\u201d (2022), \u201cAll We Ever Knew\u201d (2016), \u201cMissed Connection\u201d (2019) and \u201cLost in My Mind,\u201d its first entry on the ranking (2011). The act, which formed in Seattle in 2009, has tallied 11 top 10s.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cArrow\u201d shoots to No. 1 in its seventh week on Adult Alternative Airplay, tying for the group\u2019s quickest coronation. It matches the sprints of \u201cVirginia\u201d and \u201cAll We Ever Knew.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tConcurrently, \u201cArrow\u201d bullets at No. 17, after reaching No. 16, on the Alternative Airplay<\/a> list. It\u2019s the band\u2019s top-charting hit since \u201cHoneybee,\u201d which led for a week in 2020.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn the all-rock-format, audience-based Rock & Alternative Airplay<\/a> chart, \u201cArrow\u201d lifts three spots to No. 16 for a new high with 2.1 million audience impressions, up 25% week-over-week, in the week ending Dec. 12, according to Luminate. The rank is likewise the band\u2019s best since \u201cHoneybee,\u201d which rose to No. 3.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cArrow\u201d is the lead single from The Head and the Heart\u2019s as-yet-untitled sixth studio album, which does not yet have an announced release date. Its predecessor, Every Shade of Blue<\/em>, reached No. 21 on the Americana\/Folk Albums chart in May 2022 and has earned 61,000 equivalent album units to date.<\/p>\n
