Timothee Chalamet is starring in the lead role,\u201d he wrote. \u201cTimmy\u2019s a brilliant actor so I\u2019m sure he\u2019s going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me. The film\u2019s taken from Elijah Wald\u2019s Dylan Goes Electric \u2013 a book that came out in 2015. It\u2019s a fantastic retelling of events from the early \u201860s that led up to the fiasco at Newport. Director James Mangold revealed that the \u201cBlowin\u2019 in the Wind\u201d artist personally\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2023\/film\/news\/bob-dylan-script-notes-timothee-chalamet-movie-1235662038\/\">gave feedback<\/a>\u00a0on the script.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tEarlier this year, fans\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/culture\/tv-film\/timothee-chalamet-transforms-bob-dylan-biopic-photos-1235640499\/\">first spotted Chalamet<\/a>\u00a0filming as Dylan in New York.
